Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square

Really close to Times Square. Nice clean room, ok size. Well organised in relation to luggage for early arrivals and for people leaving late. Organised transport to airport that was considerably better value than well known ride service.

Check-in was seamless, and the offer of an upgrade, without cost, a pleasant surprise. The room was big enough for our needs, although 2 persons had difficulty in passing each other at the end of the bed due to the tv mounted on the wall. If you didn't have your fill at breakfast, you weren't really trying.

Breakfast was superb. Big buffet with options for everyone.

I absolutely loved the location of this hotel—it was truly perfect! Everything was within walking distance, making it an excellent choice for exploring the area. The hotel itself is very nice, modern, and exceptionally clean. The rooms were comfortable, well-designed, and provided a great place to relax after a long day. The staff was friendly and professional, making the stay overall very pleasant. However, the breakfast experience was a complete disaster. The setup felt like an airport security checkpoint, where you had to stand in a line for a line for a line, just to finally get in. It took forever, and after enduring it for the first couple of days, we decided to skip breakfast altogether for the last three days—it simply wasn’t worth wasting so much time. Instead, we grabbed bagels on the way out, which was a much better option. Other than the horrible breakfast logistics, everything else about the hotel was really great. If they could fix this issue, it would be a nearly perfect place to stay!
